How a string of weird coincidences is an awesome tell that you are headed on the right direction.

How a string of weird coincidences is an awesome tell that you are headed on the right direction.

In retrospect, there was synchronicity in all of this.

Back in June, I decided to get new professional photographs taken for my website (all I had were pictures from 2017 and before) with Robyn Arouty, a local artist I knew I could not afford but I really loved from her works with animals.

We had the most amazing shoot in July. A former therapist turned animal photographer turned artist, Robyn was interested  in how I pivoted my life into something completely different and going into energy work, and that my dog, Percy, was an important part of this new world.

Before we had our session, I knew she was retiring a few iconic pieces she used as props for her photographs. Among them there was a blue tufted chair - probably the most popular and iconic piece in her works.

I had been in that chair before, in sessions with other dogs I had in the past, including my Soul dog, Chato. I wanted that chair so badly!. But in my mind I was convinced someone else had already claimed it - who wouldn't have jumped at that opportunity?. But I went ahead anyways and told her I was interested in that chair and what it represented to me.

Well, I got the chair. For free.

It's August now, my photographs freshly out of the oven, and I receive a random invite to an interview with an online magazine I've never heard of. Voyage Houston Magazine  highlights local entrepreneurs and small business owners. They told me I needed to provide with my own photographs in order to be featured.

Needless to say, I was so happy because I already had a beautiful set of photographs!.

And that is not the end of this weird story…

At some point I had to go pick up my "new" old chair and I didn’t have someone willing enough to ride along the 35 mile trip down to Houston where the Robyn Arouty's studio is. I decided I'd do it alone.  I would rent a van and a furniture dolly to make the job easier, and use this opportunity to buy shelving units for my office.

Closer to pickup day, a friend I haven’t seen in years asked me if she could visit me on the day I had scheduled for picking up my chair. I told her the truth about what I'd be doing that day and she immediately offered to join me!. And the surprises didn’t end there: She said her in-laws have a furniture upholstery business, in case I ever wanted to restore that chair!.

(I won’t restore it, its real charm lays in the scratches, and tears - but how awesome it is having that opportunity readily available for you?!).

How “random” was that?, huh?

MORAL OF THE STORY: Make a decision towards something you truly want - no matter how uncomfortable it makes you feel - and The Universe will provide for you.

You don’t have to have everything together before deciding to do something. Take tiny, intentional steps forward, and all the pieces will fall together for you.

Follow your bliss, do the things that bring you excitement. When you drive from the Heart, the path opens in the most unexpected ways.

I invite you to look back into past experiences in which you noticed how weirdly effortless things seemed to have gone. Notice the synchrony of the events that transpired after you took initial action and how the resources you needed at the moment were found (or found you).
