BASALT: Creating Foundations in Times of Chaos. A Channeled Message
This one is a fun story. I was driving to run errands and already dreading the drive. People were driving aggressively and without a concern about the other people around them. I wanted to go back home just to keep myself from engaging with those people and fall into that sort of energy.
I did what I always do, which is to imagine myself driving in a black obsidian merkaba, to help me with grounding and protection. But as I was already halfway through the visualization, the word basalt came up. I started asking why, at the same time a I felt the contact between me and my seat becoming stronger, heavier. I understood immediately why I was being invited by this stone over the obsidian.
People were indeed a bit on the hostile side at the grocery store parking lot and inside it. I kept thinking about the basalt and wondering if by any chance I had some at home. It turns out I do!. What came later was a bit of a cry after reading my crystal book, and a surprising channeled message came up as I prepared this new listing in my shop.
I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did while typing it.
Basalt is in appearance a very boring and inconspicuous stone. Basalt however, is like the goth kid at school, usually quiet and kept to themself, but who will surprise you with the depth of the things they have to say!.
The black of the Basalt tells us about introspection, going within and the unknown we may find in there. Not everything that we find in the unknown is negative, it can also be potential within ourselves that we are yet to discover and develop.
Basalt is an igneous rock composed by very small minerals, which makes it look all the same where ever you look at it. To most of us "the same" can be boring and dull, yet we crave it when we are faced by the fear and insecurity that comes along with times of chaos and change.
Basalt will serve you as an anchor that will keep you grounded during the most tumultuous of times. There are no contrasts in the color and texture of basalt, and maybe this has to tell us more about becoming one rather than about being in a state of contrast, separation and competition.
Basalt is the main material composing the oceanic floor, and in the mafic lavas that build islands such as Hawaii, Iceland, or Islas Canarias (both happy places to be). Born from "destructive" tectonic forces of extrusion, rift, and subduction, Basalt supports life and growth. It is rich in minerals and metals that support growth of new plants after times of eruption. Maybe we can think about basalt as the matter or energy that helps us plant the seeds to new projects, new ambitions, new stories that are meant to withstand the test of time.
Basalt is the closest thing there is in the surface of the Earth that comes from its insides. Its DNA energy is the closest to the heart of Gaia, the mother, OUR mother. Its nurturing energies embrace us to make us feel like we belong to this planet, to this present moment. It will make us feel protected, safe, even during uncomfortable or unsupportive situations (or company).
Meditate with, or simply carry Basalt anytime you feel the path will become uneasy and specially unpredictable. Simply carry it with you at those moments or situations to remind you where you truly belong: right here, and right now.
