Carnelian is a popular name given to Carnelian Agate, which is a translucent orange to red brown chalcedony. It is frequently banded, and a popular semiprecious gemstone. The stones listed here have an orange color and a very bright polish. They are also larger than average, at 20-40 mm (0.8 to 1.5 inches).
